Window for Registering as an Interested Person Opens
The Planning Inspectorate (on behalf of the Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero) have accepted an application for a Development Consent Order from East Pye Solar and have opened the registration window to register as an 'Interested Person' and to make representation.
This window will run from Wednesday 29th April – 23.59 on Wednesday 10 June 2026
To make representation about the application and to be informed of the progress of the examination you must register as an ‘Interested Party’ on the Planning Inspectorate’s Website.
Please note that any previous objections or comments submitted do not count, and all representations must be made by 23.59 on Wednesday 10 June.
The Parish Council will be considering its response in due course and will post it here on the website.
The Parish Council's Position
The Parish Council are opposed to the suggested large scale solar farm and are working with Block East Pye Solar (BEPS) and neighbouring Parish Councils to assert as much influence as possible.
Many residents have asked about the proposals and how they can get involved. This page has been put together and will be updated to assist.

A campaign group has been established - Block East Pye Solar (BEPS).
They are currently seeking financial support with costs for legal and specialist advice, visit their Go Fund Me page for more information.
You Could be Entitled to Compensation
Block East Pye Solar are encouraging everyone who thinks that they may be adversely effected by the development to register for compensation. A flyer has been produced explaining the process.
